Tropical fish breeding bowl setups

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1

Bowl 1 all plant bowl -No gravel, filteration, marbles, round stones. For tetras no light fry and eggs of almost all tetras are very sensitive to strong light. Only once fry are starting to swim or are swimming it is ok to put light on. Female and male most be taken out once they finished spawning/breeding. Cover tank so no light can enter bowl. Once fry are swimming or starting to swim you may trun on filteration or use small air pump. If you wish to add some stone in all plant bowl dont put alot just a few to cover the bottom. Bowl 2 it is the same as bowl 1 only use more mables or stones and less plants. To remove parents from the bowls use a plastic cup if it can fit or use a small plastic cup make sure to pure back some of bowl water that is in the plastic bag. Clean plastic bag or cup before you put it in. You can use a small air pump instead of a filter and you can use some sand for the bottom. Dont feed parents when you put them in the bowl feed them before. Best to put them in the evening or early in the morning. Tetras and like other tropical fish will breed during the evening or morning hours. There have been times when they will breed during the day this happends when the tempautre outside drops. Tempature for tetras 70 to 75 and for other tropical fish 75 to 81 degrees. 77 to 79 degrees is when most fish will start to breed/spawn. Only cover tank if you are going to breed tetras for other tropical fish no need to cover bowl.
